Dycor’s inelastic pin and cushion (I-CAP, L5683) roll- on silicone liners preclude thermo plastic inserts used in conjunction with transfemoral frame and fenestrated sockets. Similar to Dycor’s transtibial roll-on I-CAP liner, the thermoplastic insert is built into the transfemoral liner by adding a substrate layer of bi-directional in-elastic fiberglass from the ischium down. Clinical application is most effective when used with a firm, muscular and volumetrically stable residuum and in combination with Dycor’s adjustable frame socket. Lanyard retention is preferable. I-CAP roll- on silicone liners are fabricated from an anatomically and volumetrically correct static transparent test socket with trim lines.
Sample I-CAP transfemoral liners and adjustable frame sockets are available for your inspection upon request. Dycor’s CFS technical dept. should be called prior to patient casting. |
