Unless otherwise specified, the matrix or cushion layer of the Syme cap liner is fabricated from expanded close cell silicone foam. This enhances structural stability of the liner. The matrix layer underneath the residuum is silicone rubber; available in 4, 5 & 6 mm. Silicone rubber zone padding is also available anywhere on the socket.
