These liners are fabricated directly from the customer’s negative or positive weight bearing model. To avoid entrapment of air between the liner and skin, the cap liner is reduced in circumference 7 ½ %. To accommodate this decrease in circumferal measurement, the liner is lengthened overall 5%. The thickness of the matrix layer (cushion) is available in 4, 5 & 6 mm. Zone and extra distal padding is available upon request. The liner is fabricated with finished trim lines. The inelastic version has a layer of bi-directional fiberglass substrate directly over the matrix layer which allows the liner to be rolled on the leg but does not allow expansion. This design facilitates use with a frame or fenestrated sockets without the additional thermoplastic inserts.
