Let's assume your prosthetic socket is comprised primarily of fiberglass
substrate and you would like to have the proximal anterior, medial and lateral
margins flexible; perhaps to provide protection to the exterior suction sleeve
and or to enhance cosmesis. One way to achieve these goals is to gradually
substitute nylon substrate above the dimensionally critical area of the socket
for the fiberglass substrate below the critical area and saturate the
substrate "transition zone" with MF-80. The following demonstrates
